Exciting first look photos have been unveiled for the highly anticipated second season of Prime Video’s Fallout. The events closely follow the events that have happen after the season one finale. According to Prime Video, the series is heavily inspired by the video game of the same name. It’s filled with twists and turns, culminating in a shocking revelation: Lucy learns that her father and Vault-Tec were responsible for the destruction of the world and that he was responsible for killing her mother, Rose, played by Elle Vertes (The Fisherman, Americanish).
According to Prime Video, the released still images hints at the upcoming journey for Lucy, played Ella Purnell (Arcane, Yellowjacket) and The Ghoul, played Walton Goggins (Sons of Anarchy, The White Lotus) as they they chase down Hank, played by Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks, Dune), who escape to New Vegas, which is a reference to the the second game. The images also show that we will see more of the Ghoul’s past within the second season, with flashbacks with him and his wife, Bard, played by Frances Turner (New Amsterdam, The Gifted).
Simultaneously, we’ll also see Maximus, played by Aaron Moten (Father Stu, Native Son), who is hailed as hero with everyone believing he took down Moldaver, played by Sarita Choudhury (Evil Eye, Blindspot). According to Prime Video, the photo showcases him in new attire walking within a new base of operation for the Brotherhood of Steel. Maximus will surely try to find a way to regroup back with Lucy.
Additionally, the story within the vault will continue with Norm, played by Moisés Arias (Hannah Montana, Ender’s Game), who discovers that Vault 31 was filled with Vault-Tec employees in cryogenic pods. These employees were specifically selected for this purpose. According to Prime Video, in one of the images, Norm appears to have been captured by Betty, portrayed by Leslie Uggams (Deadpool & Wolverine, Roots), and is being questioned about what he knows.
The success of season one laid in its ability to balance faithful adaptation with compelling original storytelling. While waiting on the release of the second season which is scheduled for sometime in December 2025, the entire first season of Fallout is available to stream on Prime Video.
