

The highly anticipated Disney+ animated series Marvel Zombies is set to unleash a new wave of apocalyptic horror, and the cast is expanding with some of the MCU’s heaviest hitters. According to Comicbook, the series will delve more into the post-apocalyptic world within Marvel’s What If…?, where the entire Avengers have become zombies. It was at the end of the episode that only three people were alive, which were Spider-man, voiced by Hudson Thames (Next Gen, Oak), Scott Lang voiced by Rudd Paul (Death of a Unicorn, Role Models) and Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman (21 Bridges, Gods of Egypt) who escape and were en route to the last knwon safe haven, which is a fortified Wakanada.
According to Comicbook, a recent press release has confirmed that Tessa Thompson (Men in Black: International, Thor Ragnarok) and Wyatt Russell (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Falcon & The Winter Soldier) will be lending their voices to the animated series, reprising their roles as Valkyrie and John Walker U.S. Agent. They will be joined by previously mentioned members which includes Florence Pugh (Black Widow, Thunderbolt) as Yelena, Simu Liu (Jackpot!, Barbie) as Shang-Chi, Hailee Steinfeld (Pitcher Perfect 2, Hawkeye) as Kate Bishop and Randall Park (Ant-Man and the Wasp, WandaVision) as Jimmy Woo.
According to Comicbook, The new synopsis of the series was shared by Marvel and states,”After the Avengers are overtaken by a zombie plague, a desperate group of survivors discover the key to bringing an end to the super-powered undead, racing across a dystopian landscape and risking life and limb to save their world.”
Fans can watch the zombie episode and the rest of the seasons of Marvel’s What If…? on Disney+, while waiting on further news on the release of the upcoming series, which is scheduled for September 24 and will be rated TV-MA. Time will tell if Valkyrie and John Walker are part of another survival group or have become zombies.
