Under New Agreement, Peacock’s Ad-Free Tier Comes To Roku

Deadline reports that Peacock’s ad-free subscription, Premium Plus, will be available as a subscription for Roku users. This is a result of a new deal between Roku and NBCUniversal.

In addition to being ad-free, Peacock’s Premium Plus allows users to download content for offline viewing and offers local TV stations via geo-targeting similar to YouTubeTV. The price is $16.99 per month or $169.99 a year, and begins in the next few weeks.

The companies have worked together in the past, making a deal with an NBC Olympics hub for the Paris 2024 Summer Games. They also made a hub for Roku customers centered on the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. Both companies saw mild success from the collaboration.
In addition to this venture, NBCU also made deals to secure more channels for Peacock on Amazon Prime Video Channels, as well as YouTube PrimeTime Channels, which will start in the weeks to come.
