‘Paradise’ Adds Julianna Margulies As Recurring Character For Season Three

According to Deadline, former Emmy Winner has joined the cast of Hulu’s Paradise. Juliana Margulies (The Good Wife, E.R.) will be a recurring cast member on Dan Fogelman’s (Life Itself, This Is Us) series in season three. Information about Margulies’ character has yet to be released.

Sterling K. Brown (American Fiction, This Is Us) stars in this mystery thriller series set in a wealthy enclave of the rich and powerful. The world of this community is shattered after a murder occurs in the neighborhood, prompting a high-stakes homicide investigation.

Spoilers alert for the following paragraph. In season two, Xavier (Brown) must venture into the unknown after discovering that the world is destroyed and that his wife, played by Enuka Okuma (The Sleepover, Rookie Blue), lives in the outside world. On his journey, he will meet a group of survivors who have persevered to survive in the post-apocalyptic world.

In addition to Brown, Margulies, and Okuma, the season two cast includes Julianne Nicholson (Blonde,August Osage County) , Sarah Shahi (Black Adam, Alias), Nicole Brydon Bloom (The Gilded Age, The Affair), Krys Marshall (Bad Monkey, Paradise), Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans (Everything’s going To Be Ok, Leave The World Behind), with recurring guest stars James Marsden (Westward, X-Men), Shailene Woodley (Divergent, Big Little Lies), Thomas Doherty (Tell Me Lies,The Invitation), and Jon Beavers (Animal Kingdom, Licorice Pizza).

Paradise season two has experienced big numbers towards the end. The final earned 4.3 million views across streaming platforms, 35 percent increase from the premiere and the best viewership of the season.

Fogelman created the series and executive produces along with Brown, Jess Rosenthal (Only Murders In The Building, This Is Us), John Hoberg (Uncle Buck, American Housewife), Steve Beers (This Is Us, Dead Like Me), Glenn Ficarra (WeCrashed, Rabbit Hole), and John Requa (I Love You Philip Morris, This Is Us). The series is produced by 20th Century Television. 

Margulies has appeared in several prominent television series, including E.R., The Good Wife, and The Morning Show. She had her last prominent roles in Billions, The Hot Zone, Dietland, and The Sopranos. On the big screen, Margulies has worked with Ed Burns (She’s The One, The Brothers McMullen) on his Millers, and she will be seen soon on the indie drama Penny.
