Two Stars Of ‘One Piece’ Reveal Possible Season Two Plots

According to Deadline, two stars in the series One Piece, Iñaki Godoy (The Imperfects) and Jacob Romero (Grey’s Anatomy) showed up for the premiere of Netflix’s next live action series Avatar: The Last Airbender. Reportedly, this was their first red carpet appearance post-strike. While on the red carpet, they teased possibilities for season two.

The upcoming season has yet to begin production but is being said to start back up soon. Back in October, Deadline was told by co-showrunner Matt Owens (Luke Cage) that before the writers strike last year, the writers for the show had briefly gotten together to work on the script.

Deadline said that while on the red carpet, Romero, who plays Usopp, gave information on the upcoming plot. “Absolutely, we’re headed to the Grand Line,” he said. Romero also added that in season two he would like to see bigger creatures and more friends.”

Owens, according to Deadline, is looking to employ Jamie Lee Curtis (Glee) as the character of Dr. Kureha. However, when asked who Godoy and Romero would enjoy working with, they both explained “Danny Devito!”

Deadline said that Romero claimed, “We would love to find a way to put Danny DeVito in.” Meanwhile, Godoy said, “Just come here man! I want to do anything with Danny DeVito.”

Deadline also asked the actors about their characters’ talents and what they would do with them. Romero said he learned how to use the slingshot “for the job, but I’m also a slingshot expert in real life.” Godoy, when asked about Luffy’s stretching powers, said, “I’d pick up the remote from the corner of my seat without standing up” as well as “give really long high fives.”

The series dropped in August of last year. By the time October came around, the show had amassed 57.8 views on Netflix. Both actors are excited to return to set and continue the story, said Deadline
