Prime Video release footages on its upcoming follow up season, Company Retreat and will be produced by the creative team behind its predecessor Jury Duty. According to Prime Video, the premise of the series will focus on the inside of the annual company retreat of Rockin’ Grandma’s, and following the journey of the company’s new temp, Anthony Norman, who seems to be caught in the middle of what seem to be a corporate takeover within the small business.
According to Prime Video, the new season will follow a similar format, which includes dramatic camera shifts, handheld camera confessionals and semi-scripted scenarios. Real actors and comedians will improvise while staying within the story’s beats, creating a hybrid atmosphere that feels authentic and unpredictable. Each episodes is set to center around specific retreat activity ranging from trust falls to survival challenges, which is set to spiral out of control.
The mockumentary season will be created by the combined efforts of Lee Eisenberg (Good Boys, Hello Ladies) and Gene Stupnitsky (Bad Teacher, Year One) and directed by Jake Szymanski (John Broco, The Package). According to Prime Video, the cast of the season features an ensemble of 14 actors will include Alex Bonifer (No Good Deed, Superstore), Blair Beeken (The Package, Family), Emily Pendergast, Erica Hernandez (True Lies, Bridges and Tunnels) and Jerry Hauck (The Bradys,Merry Happy Whatever).
With its blend of satire and sincerity, Company Retreat is set offer more than just a good laugh, but to also to bring a lighter side to the corporate workforce . Company Retreat to debut on March 20 and with the first three episodes available, followed up by a two episode on followed March 27, and then a three-episode finale on April 3.
