Trailer For Netflix’s ‘Unstable’ Starting Rob Lowe Released

According to Comicbook, Netflix has recently released the trailer for Rob Lowe’s (St. Elmo’s Fire) series Unstable, and if you haven’t gotten enough subtle family dramas get ready for more. The series so far is scheduled to have eight episodes according to Netflix and is created by Victor Fresco (Santa Clarita Diet) with Lowe and his son John Owen Lowe (9-1-1:Lone Star) being co-creators.

The trailer for the series is down below.

The series stars Fred Armisen (Portlandia), Sian Clifford (Fleabag), Rachel Marsh (iCarly), Aaron Branch (Disny’s Magic Bake-Off), and Emma Ferreira (Learn to Swim), Chris Aquilino (Silicon Valley), Frank Gallegos (Logan), Merrick McCartha (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and many more.

Netflix writes, “Ellis Dragon is a universally admired, eccentric, narcissist-adjacent biotech entrepreneur working to make the world a better place. He’s also in emotional free-fall. His son Jackson Dragon is… none of those things. Can Jackson save Ellis and his company and salvage their estranged relationship while also doing what may actually be impossible: escaping the shadow of his larger-than-life father?”

They continue to say, “The series is set in a cutting-edge biotech research company, following an introverted, socially-challenged son who goes to work for his very successful, wildly eccentric father in order to save him from disaster. It is inspired by Rob and John Owen Lowe’s social media relationship, in which John Owen often humorously trolls his dad. Their posts often go viral and have been extensively covered in the media.”

Below a Twitter post from Netflix showing the father and son talking about the series.

While talking to Netflix TUDUM, the father and son duo share some thoughts son the core of the new series. John Owen Lowe said, “It’s about a father/son dynamic that’s really relatable. But, under a really specific lens. Which is, a father who loves being the center of attention and his son who feels the exact opposite.”

Unstable will premiere on Netflix on March 30th.
