Reported by Screenrant, in the previous season finale, Captain Pike, played by Anson Mount (The Inhumans, Non-Stop) and his crew resolving a crisis with an interdimensional entity, known as the the Vezda. According to Screenrant, the new trailer gives a glimpse of Pike and his crew exploring new planets, while at the same time encountering new enemies. It would seem that the next journey will evolved the crew going back in time, but for what reason remains a mystery. Along with Anson, the memebers of the approaching season will include Ethan Peck (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Marvels) as Spock, Rebecca Romijn (X-Men, Batman: Hush) as Number One and Christina Chong (Doctor Who, Tom & Jerry) as La’an Noonien-Singh.
