Murder in the First is set to premiere on TNT on Monday, June 9, at 10 p.m. immediately after the season three premiere of TNT’s Major Crimes.
The summer will be home to TNT’s newest series that will take an up-close and personal look at the complex homicide investigation in Murder in the First. Steven Bocho and Eric Lodal are producing the series. It will star Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson The cast will include Tom Felton, Mimi Kirkland, Raphael Sbarge, Lombardo Boyar, Ian Anthony Dale, Bess Rous, Nicole Ari Parker, Currie Graham, Richard Schiff, James Cromwell and Steven Weber.
The series is set in San Francisco and follows once case the entire season. Homicide detectives Terry English (Diggs) and Hildy Mulligan (Robertson) are the lead investigators on two seemingly unrelated murders. English struggles to care for his terminally ill wife, Emily, portrayed by guest-star Anne-Marie Johnson. Mulligan is a single mother with an inquisitive daughter. The plot thickens when one common denominator in Silicon Valley surfaces in the shape of Erich Blunt (Felton).
Rounding out the cast are SFPD homicide inspector David Molk (Sbarge) and his tough-as-nails partner inspector Edgar Navarro (Boyar). The squad’s supervisor is no-nonsense Lt. Jim Koto (Dale). On Blunt’s side is long-time friend Bill Wilkerson (Weber) and the company’s chief technology officer Ivana West (Rous). Also on Blunt’s legal team are David Hertzberg (Schiff) and Warren Daniels (Cromwell). The District Attorney is Sonia Perez (Parker) and Chief Prosecutor is Mario Siletti (Graham).
