Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return as hosts for the Golden Globes for the next two years, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The two-year deal is exciting for the Globes and the producing partnership of The Hollywood Foreign Press and Dick Clark Productions because Fey and Poehler’s last stint as hosts generated positive reviews and 19.7 million total viewers, a six-year high. The show also generated a 6.4 rating in the coveted 18-49 demo, up 28 percent over the previous year. Said NBC president of alternative and late night programming Paul Telegdy, “Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business, and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season.”
