Aaron Kaplan and Tia Mowry-Hardrict have sold a comedy series to NickMom, announced Indiewire.
This untitled series will be the second on NickMom that Mowry-Hardrict will be a part of, as the network announced the new comedy Instant Mom last week. In addition to being part of the new series, Kaplan serves as executive producer of Instant Mom, according to Indiewire.
Mowry-Hardrict’s latest series will tell the story of a “12-year-old girl who lives on an Army base with her drill sergeant mother,” and has been rumored to be inspired by her own childhood, as reported by Indiewire.
The show will be written by Dan Kopelman, who has worked on other television shows including Malcolm in the Middle and recently Rules of Engagement, according to IMDB.
Instant Mom will premiere this fall during the NickMom time slot on the Nick Jr. channel, however there is no word on when the untitled project will begin, Indiewire reported.
