The Witcher season three trailer is down below.

According to Comicbook, the series has been teasing war for the last two seasons and season three will make it a reality. This season will also be the last season that Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) plays the main character Geralt of Rivia, and now the mantle of the White Wolf will be taken up by Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) in any upcoming season after three. The series is already confirmed that there will be a fourth and fifth season to look forward to.

Actor Joey Batey (The Witcher: Blood Origin) said, “War has been threatened for so long. Finally we’re like, ‘Oh, god. It’s here.’ The epicness, the stakes for the Continent, in the macro sense, is huge. But the micro stakes are even bigger.”

According to Comicbook, the official description for season three reads as follows, “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.”
