According to Variety, the Weinstein Company has acquired the British gangster series.
Peaky Blinders, produced by Caryn Mandabach and created by Steve Knight stars Cillian Murphy.
The series premiered on September 12 on BBC Two. The storyline focuses on the Shelby family, who lead a feared gang called the Peaky Blinders in 1919 in Birmingham. The cast also includes Sam Neil, Helen McCrory and Annabelle Walls.
The deal that the Weistein Company has made includes the first three episodes and the option to acquire further seasons.
