‘The Walking Dead’ Adds Series Regulars And Releases Key Art For Season Six

The Walking Dead season six premiere is still a month out, but new details and images are being announced ahead of its premiere.

The biggest news is that three characters have been promoted to series regulars for season six. Tovah Feldshuh, Alexandra Breckenridge, and Austin Nichols have all been made series regulars for the upcoming season. Feldshuh plays the leader of Alexandria Deanna Monroe, Breckenridge plays Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) love interest Jessie Anderson, and Nichols plays Jessie’s son Spencer, according to TV.com.

All three characters were introduced at Alexandria. The fact that these three have been made regulars indicates that the gang will spend a lot of time there in season six or at least these characters will leave with Rick’s gang. However, this does not mean that these characters are safe from being killed off. Previously in season five, Andrew J. West (Gareth) was promoted to series regular but was killed off within three episodes. As is common with The Walking Dead, no one is ever safe from being killed off.

These three join Lennie James (Morgan) as a series regular for the sixth season. Morgan has been seen a few times throughout the series and last season his character finally caught up with Rick’s gang at Alexandria.

AMC also released new key art for the season. Shown above, it features Rick alone set against the TWD logo. It also reminds fans of the premiere date for the sixth season: October 11 2015.
