ABC’s The View has been celebrating Barbara Walters’ career with “The Year of Barbara.”
Walters’ announced last May that the season would be her last for the talk show. Throughout the season, The View reflected on some of Walters’ most notable interviews most from ABC’s 20/20. On Wednesday, March 26 attorney Sunny Hostin will sit in a guest co-host with Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd, Jenny McCarthy and Walters.
Guest’s on the show include John Ramsey, father of JonBenet Ramsey, who reflects on a 2000 interview with his late wife Patsy regarding the rumors of possible guilt associated with the murder of his daughter. Also on the show is attorney Mark Eiglarsh and his recollection of the 1996 interview Walters did with Erik and Lyle Menendez prior to their sentencing for the murder of their parents. Attorney Alan Dershowitz recalls his case with client, Claus von Bülow, and the interview that took place in 1982 with Walters after von Bülow was convicted of killing his wife, Sunny. He will also look back at the 1985 interview with Walters when con Bülow was found innocent of the crime. The show will also look back at interviews with Robert Blake, Gerald Schwartzbach, and Jean Harris.
ABC and Walters’ Barwall Productions produce The View. Executive producers are Walters and Bill Geddie.
