

The world of Nevermore academy is quickly expanding with the third season of Wednesday introducing a familiar face to the franchise. According to Deadline, it was announced that Winona Ryder (Stranger Things, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) will be a guest stars, while also reunited with series collaborator Tim Burton (Alice in Wonderland, 9) and the lead actor, Jenna Ortega (Death of a Unicorn, Scream) reprising her role as the monochromatic titular character.
This season will have Wednesday solving a new mystery, while at the same time saving her friend, Enid, played by Emma Myers (Family Switch, Minecraft Movie) from being hunted down.
Reported by Deadline, what we currently known about Ryder’s upcoming role is that she will be playing a character by the name of Tabitha. Furthermore the additional casts that will be joining her in the new season will include Eva Green (Dark Shadow, Penny Dreadful), who will be playing Ophelia, Wednesday’s aunt who was rumored to be dead, but was kept by her grandmother Hester, played by Joanna Lumley (Corpse Bride, Fool Me Once).
The series creators, Alfred Gough (Smallville, Into the Badlands) and Miles Millar (Jungle Cruise, The Shannara Chronicles) goes on to speak with Deadline about this wonderful opportunity,“When it comes to Outcasts, Winona Ryder is the GOAT. We loved collaborating with her on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome her to Nevermore.”
The plot of what will transpire in the season remains underwraps, but has viewers on the edge of their seats and left to wonder what new characters and obstacles that Wednesday will come in contact in her journey. While waiting on further news on the third season which is rumored to debut in summer 2027, all seasons of Wednesday are available to stream on Netflix.
