The approaching fourth season of Netflix’s fantasy series, The Witcher is just around the corner, but this time will include new faces. According to Screenrant, one of the characters that was introduced was Regis, who will be played by Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix, John Wick) and who will cross paths with Geralt, played by Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games, The Duel).

Hemsworth goes on to give a statement with Screenrant about the vital connections of the duo,” Yeah, it’s one of my favorite relationships in this series. I think it shows a different side of Geralt. Geralt’s someone that is pretty closed off and likes to do things on his own, and for whatever reason, there’s this kind of instant connection with Regis and this sort of trust there. And he finds himself in this conversation very, very early on when they meet, kind of opening up and sort of asking questions about what he’s going to do or how he should do it.”

He further goes into detail with Screenrant about the series future character,”Regis, in a very subtle way, gives him guidance throughout this season, and they become closer and closer. And then there’s this kind of turning point, this crossroads where Geralt’s sort of questioning who Regis is and what he is now and whether he can continue to be friends with this person or really trust this person. And yeah, it’s a really interesting dynamic.”

According to mxdwn, what we currently know about the season’s plot is that the heroes are trying to find their way back to each other. The last time we saw Yennefer, played by Anya Chalotra (Creature Commandos, Twilight of the Gods), she was helping an injured sorcerer. Ciri, portrayed by Freya Allan (Gunpowder Milkshake, The Third Day), has been transported to an alternate dimension and is now traveling with the Rats. Meanwhile, Geralt teams up with Jaskier, played by Joey Batey (Knightfall, Blood Origin), as they embark on a quest to find Ciri.

While waiting on the fourth season scheduled for October 30, all previous seasons of The Witcher are available to stream on Netflix.
