The Lying Game will not be returning for a second season, series star Alexandra Chando announced Monday.
In a post on her Instagram account, Chando stated, “To our awesome Lying Game fans, thank you for these two amazing seasons. Unfortunately, ABC Family has decided not to bring us back for a third season.”
ABC Family was reportedly waiting to make a decision on the future of the Lying Game based on the performance of the network’s new summer series, Twisted and the Fosters. The latter show, in particular, has gained high ratings to date.
“We so wanted to do 10 more for you guys,” Chando continued in her post about the series’ cancellation. “Thanks for your support and keep up with the cast to see what’s next for us!”
The last episode of the Lying Game aired in March.
