Prime Video released another official season two trailer of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings Of Power earlier today. The trailer can be found on Prime Video’s official YouTube page, which has over 130,000 views just a few hours after its release.
The trailer mostly depicts a clash between Sauron’s forces and the Elves of Eregion. Much of the trailer takes place during the Siege of Eregion, one of the crucial battles during the Second Age of Middle-earth that fans of The Lord Of The Rings have been waiting for with high expectations. Sauron continues to plot chaos and confusion all around Middle-earth to complete the Rings of Power.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings Of Power is based on renowned author J.R.R Tolkien’s (The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, Lord of the Rings) novels The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings Of Power is said to take place thousands of years before the storylines of both novels, according to Comicbook.com.
Prime Video states that the first three episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings Of Power Season Two will be available on August 29, and additional episodes will be released until the season finale on October 3.
Two additional trailers for the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings Of Power can also be found on Prime Video’s YouTube channel. One trailer eclipses over 19 million views, with the other over 14 million.
The official synopsis of The Lord Of the Rings: The Rings Of Power is as follows:
“Sauron has returned. Cast out by Galadriel, without army or ally, the rising Dark Lord must now rely on his own cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power, which will allow him to bind all the peoples of Middle-earth to his sinister will. Building on Season 1’s epic scope and ambition, Season 2 of Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power plunges even its most beloved and vulnerable characters into a rising tide of darkness, challenging each to find their place in a world that is increasingly on the brink of calamity. Elves and dwarves, orcs and men, wizards and Harfoots… as friendships are strained and kingdoms begin to fracture, the forces of good will struggle ever more valiantly to hold on to what matters to them most of all… each other.”
