HBO’s hit series The Last of Us featured an incognito cameo from surprise actor. According to Deadline, Jason Ritter (Freddy vs. Jason, Raising Dion) made a cameo appearance as a clicker (the nickname for those infected with the mutated Cordyceps fungus).
The actor made his cameo appearance in two episodes of the hit adaptation series that his wife, Melanie Lynskey (Heavenly Creatures, Yellowjackets), starred in. Lynskey portrays Kathleen Coggan, the leader of the Kansas City resistance in the series.
After being spotted by a female viewer in The Last of Us behind-the-scenes mini-documentary, the viewer joked in a Tweet on Twitter that it was “Take Your Husband to Work Day,” to which Ritter responded, “Just the best day.”

Lynskey made a guest appearance in two episodes of the first season of the popular video game adaptation, which recently aired its season finale.
“He was a stunt person. He trained with the stunt people and he just did all these amazing stunts. It’s like his lifelong dream,” Lynskey told Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show according to The Hollywood Reporter. “He got put in the makeup and he came out of the ground and was falling over and doing all of these … I shot him once.”
The husband/wife duo will team up again on Lynskey’s SHOWTIME series, Yellowjackets. Stay tuned.
