As if an eerie “Freakshow” theme for American Horror Story’s fourth season wasn’t enough to get viewers hyped up, producers have added music legend Patti LaBelle to the already stealthy list of actors to the cast.
According to the Huffington Post, LaBelle will star in four episodes of the season, playing the mother of a Gabourey Sidibe’s character while simultaneously working to uncover the identity of a killer clown. Eek!
For those unfamiliar with the storyline for the newest season, producers focus in on America in the 1950s on what is known as “the Last Freak show in America”. LaBelle seems like an amazing addition to this already immensely popular series and will only enhance the powerhouse of talent that is evident in AHS veterans Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy’s work.
