The blind vigilante, played by Charlie Cox (Stardust, Kin) is vaulting his way back on screen with new information on the second season of Daredevil: Born Again having surfaced. According to Comicbook, the series has been rollercoaster of emotion for Matt Murdock, who is trying to grapple from the lost of his friend, Foggy Nelson, played Elden Henson (El Dorado, The Butterly Effect) to dealing with the forces of Willson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio (Men in Black, Echo). Furthermore, the shadow that Daredevil thrives in is about to expand with him recruiting his own army which will include the return of Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter (The Defenders, Sonic: The Hedgehog 2).
The series show runners, Dario Scardapane (Faceless, Memory) goes on to speak in an interview with Comicbook about darker tone the new season will take, “season one, because of the nature of what we did, it was the return of characters, it was the loss of other characters (that they wanted to talk about),” Scardapane said. “There are a few moments in Season 2 that I would love to talk about. You know, the end of episode one, the end of episode four, what happens in the middle of Episode 8. I think we threw more shocking moments into season two than we had in season one.”
According to Comicbook, multiple sources have claimed that the second season will be designed to produce more surprising moments and be more advanced than its predecessor, which was considered a mixed bag. Wilson Fisk won’t be the only threat that Matt and the rest of vigilante will meet on their mission of freeing New York City, which will also reveal the return of Bullseye, played by Wilson Bethel (All Rise, Untamed).
The second season is scheduled to land on Disney+ on March 26 with weekly episode release, while waiting the entire prior season of Daredevil: Born Again is available to watch now.
