The CW’s ’Legends of Tomorrow’ Casts Aliyah O’ Brien for Its Sixth Season

The CW’s original series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has reportedly added Aliyah O’Brien (Lorna, Supernatural) to its cast for season six, according to ComicBook. Last season, the captain of the Waverider Sarah Lance (Caity Lotz, The Machine) was captured and abducted by extra terrestrial beings and now it’s up to the Legends to find where they’ve taken Lance and save her from her captors.

Apparently, O’Brien’s character doesn’t stand as a cut and dry hero or villain, she has some complexity layered into her character’s motives. “O’Brien will play Kayla, a fearsome warrior with a high body count and low patience for human incompetence. She’ll be put through her paces working with and against the Legends as she’s certainly not used to messing anything up much less for the better,” as reported by ComicBook. Viewers should find the twists and turns of Kayla’s choices interesting as they form their own theories of her intentions.

The Legends spent most of season five tracking down a mystical item that has the potential to bring back fallen comrades from the afterlife, this artifact is called “The Loom of Fate.” This isn’t the first-time fans have seen magic like this in the Arrowverse, considering Sarah was revived by Ra’s al Ghul’s Lazarus Pit in season four episode three of Arrow.

Legends of Tomorrow initially released in 2016 with a team of lesser-known heroes like Firestorm (Franz Drameh, Edge of Tomorrow) Captain Atom (Brandon Routh, Superman Returns), White Canary (Caty Lotz), Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill, Doctor Who), Hawk Man (Falk Hentschel, Knight and Day), and Hawk Girl (Ciara Renee, The Flash). The team also consisted of anti-heroes such as Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller, Prison Break) and Heatwave (Dominic Purcell, Blade Trinity), both are villains from Flash’s rogue gallery.

The Legends have fought against the likes of a time traveling immortal dictator named Vandal Savage (Casper Crump, The Legend of Tarzan) to magical creatures like a sinister Demon named Mallus (John Noble, Lord of The Rings, Return of The King) suffice it to say, fans will have to see how season six introduces its main villain and how they relate to the aliens that abducted Sarah.
