According to Deadline, the CW network has set Wednesday, February 8th, 2023 as the premiere date for season nine of The Flash’. The ninth season will be the final season.
The CW’s long running series The Flash made its debut on October 7th, 2014. The first episode amounted to over 6.8 million views, making it the most watched broadcast in the history of the CW network. In 2015, The Flash was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects and won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama.
The American Superhero television series is based on the DC comics character the Flash, formally known as Barry Allen. Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin (Glee) is a crime scene investigator by day. By night, he uses his super speed to fight criminals alongside Team Flash, made up of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker, Friday the 13th), Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet, Born Again Virgin), Allegra Garcia (Kayla Compton, Making Moves), Chester P. Runk (Brandon McKnight, Nose to Tail), and Mark Blaine (Jon Cor, The Boy She Met Online).
Season nine will resume following the team’s miraculous defeat of Reverse Flash, but the group soon faces yet another challenge.

Now is the time to catch-up and enjoy this fantastic final ride alongside the fastest man alive,” says Brad Schwartz, president of Entertainment at the CW network, via Deadline. “The Flash will be remembered as one of the greatest shows in the history of The CW, and everyone involved in its excellent nine-season run should be very proud.”
The Flash was renewed for a ninth season in March of 2022. The upcoming season will be thirteen episodes long, and is set to air at 8:00 PM on February 8th. Fans can find the series on Netflix, The CW, and Prime Video.
