The CW Cancels ‘No Tomorrow’ and ‘Frequency’ After One Season

Fans of CW’s 2016 drama series No Tomorrow and Frequency might have overlooked a sign of their fates last fall when the CW released their mid-season show schedule. In that window, it was determined no additional episodes would be ordered for the shows’ current seasons, and now the CW has confirmed via Variety that both shows are canceled.

The CW was hoping to strike an audience for the time-travel-esque series Frequency starring Peyton List as Detective Raimy Sullivan who finds a way to speak to her deceased father, who was murdered 20 years ago.

In No Tomorrow, the CW saw Evie Covington (Tori Anderson) working as a guarded quality control assessor who meets Xavier Holliday (Joshua Sasse) believing the world to end in approximately eight months and 20 days, and trying to get Covington to take on a ‘YOLO’ type attitude.

According to Variety, both shows will receive ‘no tomorrow’ for posting their lackluster ratings last fall, “with Frequency averaging a 0.26 rating in adults 18-49 and 936,000 viewers per episode, while No Tomorrow averaged a 0.26 and 794,000 viewers.”

Deadline previously reported that a “10-year streak has ended at the CW.” Not since 11 years ago has the CW opted out of renewing a fall series for additional episodes or seasons.
