The CW has acquired the Labyrinth Miniseries.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW Network has acquired the four-hour period miniseries, Labyrinth. The Miniseries stars Downton Abbey alum Jessica Brown Findlay, veteran actor John Hurt, and Sebastian Stan, who recurred on Gossip Girl. Tom Felton also stars with Janet Suzman, Claudia Gerini, Katie McGrath, Emun Elliott and Tony Curran.
Labyrinth is an adaptation of Kate Mosse’s New York Times Bestseller and will shift back and forth between medieval and modern-day France. The adaptation is done by award-winning writer Adrian Hodges.
The miniseries was filmed in Carcassonne in southwest France and Cape Town. The story focuses on the lives of two women who are separated by centuries but are united in their search for the Holy Grail.
Labyrinth is produced by Tandem Communications and Film Afrika Worldwide, in association with Scott Free Films and Universal Production Partners. Moritz Polter is doing production and Christopher Smith is directing.
A premiere date will be announced later.
