The 2014 Billboard Music Awards was the most-watched telecast in 13 years and ABC dominated Sunday night with adults 18-49.
ABC won all four Sundays in the May sweep with adults 18-49. It was the most watched network for the evening beating out CBS’ 9.5 million with 9.5 million viewers. This is the strongest night ABC had since November in viewers and young adults, excluding the night of the Academy Awards.
The Billboard Music Awards was the number 1 show for the night in both viewers and young adults. For the time-slot of 8-11 pm, the Billboard Music Awards has 10.5 million viewers and a rating of 3.5/10 in adults 18-49. It also won over teens 12-17 and kids 12-11. This was the most watched Billboard Music Awards since 2001 in viewers and in adults 18-49 since 2003.
The finale broadcast of America’s Funniest Videos ranked number 1 for its hour for a fourth consecutive week with adults 18-49. It received 6.6 million viewers and held a ranking of 1.6/6 in adults 18-49.
