Teo Yoo Fronts Season Two Casting Of Netflix’s ‘The Recruit’

According to TVLine, Netflix has started the casting process for season two of The Recruit. The first major addition the series has added is South Korean actor Teo Yoo (Past Lives, Love to Hate You).

The series which is anchored by Noah Centineo (The Fosters, Black Adam) portraying Owen Hendricks as a CIA lawyer.

According to TVLine, per the logline, Yoo’s character, Jang Kyun, is “clever and driven South Korean NIS agent, highly skilled with a subversive sense of humor and willing to go to any lengths to protect those he cares about.”

According to TVLine, the following nine actors have been casted in recurring roles for season two provided by Netflix.

Devika Bhise (The Man Who Knew InfinityThe Rookie: Feds) as Juno Marsh, “an eager CIA Counter Espionage Group officer whose buttoned-up persona masks a bit of a wild side.”

Young-Ah Kim (The Gamekillers, The Mother) as Grace, “a single mother and senior intelligence officer who is researching what the CIA is doing in her country.”

Sanghee Lee (End of Winter, One Spring Night) as Nan Hee, “a Korean aide worker who has a sly sense of humor.”

Omar Maskati (Better Call Saul, Unbelievable) as Jae King, “a rich kid with a charming yet affable personality.”

James Purefoy (Rome, Pennyworth) as Oliver Bonner-Jones, “a rich British businessman who conducts illegal activity.”

Alana Hawley Purvis (Range Roads, Supergirl) as Amanda Fern, “a CIA Station Chief in Seoul who is tough to work with.”

Do Hyun Shin (Love with Flaws, The Banker) as Yoo Jin Lee, “a young woman with a connection to Owen.”

Brooke Smith (Bates MotelGrey’s Anatomy) as Marcy Potter, “a CIA Counter Espionage Group officer.”

Felix Solis (Ozark, The Rookie) as Tom Wallace, “a senior diplomat within the State Department in charge of negotiating American hostages freedom.”

According to TVLine, per Netflix, the second season is describes Centineo’s character has been “pulled into a life-threatening espionage situation in South Korea, only to realize that the bigger threat just might be coming from inside the Agency.”

According to TVLine, there is not been a public release date for season two but production has started in Vancover with additional filming happening in Seoul.
