‘Ted Lasso’ Cast Celebrates Its Upcoming Fourth Season in Kansas City

With the release of its fourth season being right around the corner, Apple TV celebrated their hit series Ted Lasso through a weekend of events that took place in Coach Ted Lasso’s hometown of Kansas City. The events included a special “‘Ted Lasso’ Night” fan event, a screening of the fourth season’s debut episode at Regnier Extreme Screen in Kansas City, and a press conference at CPKC Stadium, to which series stars Brendan Hunt (Horrible Bosses 2, Elio), Jeremy Swift (Downtown Abbey, Mary Poppins Returns), Juno Temple (Atonement, Killer Joe), Abbie Hern (Enola Holmes 2, My Lady June), and executive producer Jason Sudeikis (We’re the Millers, Colossal) were all in attendance.

Ted Lasso follows an American college football coach, to which the series is named after. Played by Sudeikis, Ted is hired as the coach of an English soccer team, whose owner hopes will fail due to his inexperience. In season four, Ted returns to Richmond to serve as the coach to a women’s second division football team, a task that proves to be his hardest challenge yet.

Season four will bring back several of the series’ fan favorites, such as Hannah Waddingham (Game of Thrones, The Fall Guy), Brett Goldstein (All of You, Office Romance), Temple, Swift and Huntalong with newcomers such as Hern, Grant Feely (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Five Nights at Freddy’s), Jude Mack (Such Brave Girls, The Capture), Faye Marsay (Andor, Ten Pound Poms), Tanya Reynolds (The Decameron, Sex Education), Rex Hayes, and Aisling Sharkey (Heirs of the Night, Jurassic World Dominion). Sudeikis is set to star and executive produce alongside Hunt, Bill Wrubel (Modern Family, Sports Night), Joe Kelly (How I Met Your Mother, Saturday Night Live), Jamie Lee (Crashing, Office Romance), and Jane Becker (Future Man, Nobody Wants This).

mxdwn previously covered Apple TV executive Matt Cherniss’s comments confirming a fifth season for the series, stating that Sudeikis is “looking to jump to the next season soon.”

Ted Lasso‘s 10-episode fourth season will be premiering on Apple TV, with the first episode premiering on August 5th.
