‘Superstore’ Gets A Season 3

The Wrap recently reported that NBC’s retail-friendly comedy has been renewed for season three.

Superstore has been airing on the network since 2015. It is led by America Ferrera, Nichole Bloom, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos, Ben Feldman, and Mark McKinney, as they portray the lighthearted lives of big-box store employees.

Justin Spitzer created Superstore and continues to serve as executive producer. Universal Television, Spitzer Holding Company and the District. Director Ruben Fletcher, Gabe Miller & Jonathan Green, and David Bernad also handle additional executive producing credits.

Season two of Superstore pulled in a decent crowd, averaging a 1.8 rating in adults 18-49 and 57 million viewers with seven days of delayed viewing.

Superstore‘s third season will have another 22 more episodes coming our way. This move reflects the lengthened season NBC gave season two of the series, where the network granted Superstore an additional nine episodes to add to their season.

NBC entertainment president Jennifer Salke released a statement about the renewal, saying, “We are extremely proud of Superstore, which is one of the smartest and funniest comedies on television today. Through the show’s expertly drawn characters, our producers and cast do a remarkable job touching on many issues in which audiences can relate. To its credit, not only does Superstore make us laugh, but it makes us think as well.”

Superstore airs Thursdays on NBC.
