According to Deadline, the fourth and final season of the CW’s Superman & Lois has gotten new premiere date due to changes to the network’s fall schedule. The series’ two-hour premiere was originally slated for October 17, but now it is set to debut on October 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
Superman & Lois is swapping its Wednesday spot with the network’s upcoming game shows Scrabble, hosted by Raven-Symoné (That’s So Raven, The Cosby Show), and Trivial Pursuit, hosted by LeVar Burton (Reading Rainbow, Roots), which were originally slated for Mondays. The change to the schedule was likely made to prevent The CW’s family game night from competing with ABC’s game show block, which is also scheduled for Mondays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. with Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and Press Your Luck.
Due to this change, Superman & Lois is not the only show with a new premiere date. Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit will now debut on October 3. The Wranglers, a series about the lives of professional cowboys and cowgirls in Montana, will now debut on October 14 following a new episode of Superman & Lois.
Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf, Can You Keep a Secret?) as Clark Kent and Bitsie Tulloch (Grimm, Caroline and Jackie) as Lois Lane. The show explores how Clark and Lois balance superhero life with family life as they raise their sons Jon, played by Michael Bishop (Spin, Salsa), and Jordan, played by Alex Garfin (The Peanuts Movie, Salt). The show also stars Michael Cudlitz (Southland, The Walking Dead) as Lex Luthor, Dylan Walsh (The Stepfather, Unforgettable) as Sam Lane, Wolé Parks (The Vampire Diaries, NCIS) as John Henry Irons, Tayler Buck (Princess of the Row, Assisted Living) as Natalie Irons, Inde Navarrette (Wander Darkly, 13 Reasons Why) as Sarah Cushing and Emmanuelle Chriqui (Wrong Turn, Elektra Luxx) as Lana Lang.
Season four will be the shortest in the show’s run, with only 10 episodes. It also closes the CW’s 23-year run of adapting DC comics to television.
