Starz has set a release date for the season two premiere of BMF on Friday, January 6 at midnight via the network’s app, and later released at 8 p.m. ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada, according to Deadline. BMF, Black Mafia Family, follows the true story of the Flenory brothers as they rise from the depths of poverty as they navigate the war on drugs in Detroit and become game changers in hip-hop and culture, via Deadline. The series includes themes of family, faith, and loyalty as the brothers work to outsmart the government and expand the BMF into a multi-state empire, according to Deadline.
BMF stars Demetrius Flenory Jr. (Euphoria) as Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Da’Vinchi (The Boys, Lethal Weapon) as Terry “Southwest Tee” Flenory. The series also stars Russell Hornsby (The Hate U Give, Meet The Parents), Michole Briana White (Malignant, Encino Man), Myles Truitt (Dragged Across Concrete, Stranger Things), Steve Harris (The Practice, The Rock), Kelly Hu (The Scorpion King, The Tournament), La La Anthony (Power, Unforgettable), with Leslie Jones (Ghostbusters, Coming 2 America) and rapper Snoop Dogg (Training Day, Turbo).
BMF is executive produced by rapper and businessman Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson in association with Lionsgate Television for Starz, along with showrunner and writer Randy Huggins (Criminal Minds, Prime Suspect), according to Deadline. The first season of BMF is available to stream via Starz.
