According to The Hollywood Reporter, Starz has released a new official trailer for the fourth season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan. The new trailer opens up with the title character, Kanan Stark, played by Mekai Curtis (Milo Murphy’s Law) who is questioning who he wants to be and how his identity will play out as he stays in the shadow of his mother, Raq, played by Patina Miller (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay). The Fourth season of the series will premire on Starz on March 7.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan is a Starz series that follows the original story of Kanan Stark. Set in 1991 in South Jamaica, Queens the story follows Kanan as he becomes involved in his mothers drug business. The series is a second instalment of the expanded Power franchise.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer showcases the character of Kanan being more confident and paving his way in business. Raq questions if she can trust her son in blood and business as they further develop their drug empire. The two continue to collaborate with street legends Snaps and Pop and Italian mob boss Stefano Marchetti. The trailer is also a cameo of the resurrected Unique, played by Joey Bada$$ (Mr. Robot), who is seemingly back from the dead.
The fourth season will also debut new cast members including Pardison Fontaine (Bad Boys for Life) as B-Rilla, Chris Redd (Candy Cane Lane) as Early Tyler, Sibongile Mlambo (Lovecraft Country) as Imani Okoye and Paul Ben-Victor (Creature Commandos) as Phil Russo.
Sascha Penn (Code 8) will continue as showrunner and executive producer on the series. The Power Universe series is executive produced by the creator and showrunner of the original Power, Courtney A. Kemp (The Good Wife) through her production company End of Episode, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Skill House) through G-Unit Film and Television, and Mark Canton (300) through Canton Entertainment.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan and the rest of the Power franchise are available to stream on Hulu.
