For Claire in this ninth book, we were looking to give a little more story than was in the book, and this was a great way to do that. It’s such an interesting mystery. Obviously, we’re taking things from the book that Diana [Gabaldon] has posited as possibilities, and we kind of went with that. I’m very pleased with how it turned out. I think there’s some great scenes with Caitriona [Balfe] and Florrie [May Wilkinson], who plays Fanny — she’s outstanding. So you definitely will see that as the season progresses, and see how that mystery unfolds.”
Stated by Screenrant, the final season will be filled with new challenges that Claire and the other characters of Outlander will encounter and have to overcome, in order to protect their peaceful life. While viewers await on the upcoming final season which is scheduled March 6, all previous seasons of Outlander are available to stream on Stars.
