The season one finale of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man delivered a major twist that has fans eagerly awaiting a second season. According to Screenrant, the twist in the finale sees Aunt May, voiced by Kari Wahlgren (The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep) making a visit in prison with none other than Richard Parker, whose voice actor has yet to be announced, leaving the season on a major cliffhanger. This is the first time that the character has actually been seen on screen, but has been roughly mentioned throughout the Spider-Man films.

The voiced of Spider-Man, Hudson Thames (What If…?) states in an interview with Screenrant about the impact this will have on his character,”I haven’t been talking too much about it. I didn’t even know if I was allowed to, but I think it’s almost the most important part of the show is that, I think, informs so much of who Peter is. And also, for Peter Parker, who’s such an optimist and so hopeful, to have something that’s dark and heavy like that in his life. I think, for me as an audience member too, it’s really cool to see how he navigates that and that he eventually is able to deal with it with grace is, I think, a nice moment.”

According to Screenrant, Hudson’s comment on how this major change within the famous Spider-Man story could potentially have an impact for his character. The finale only raises more questions now such as one crime could Richard have done to have place himself within prison, and could he potentially become a villain that Peter will face in future seasons.
