Battle of Fates, the reality show which quickly became the most viewed show on Disney+ in Korea after its release in February of this year, just had a spinoff greenlit. According to Variety, the spinoff, titled House of Fates, was greenlit and will appear on Disney+.

The new series stars the three top-placing fate readers from Battle of Fates, with contestants from the original show appearing throughout the show. In the show, participants will travel to various spiritual sites in Korea and participate in ceremonies, regional customs, and communal meals.

While the cast travels across Korea, they partake in personal fate readings while sharing personal issues, such as relationship issues and losses they’ve gone through. Along with the fate readings, the cast will also partake in shamanic rituals, which the format of the show positions as essential to Korean spiritual life.

Battle of Fates premiered on Feb. 11th, and was the number one series premiere on Disney+ Korea. The competition series focused on masters of various spiritual practices going through challenges that tested their skills. In these challenges, the contestants would use tools such as fans, bells, dowsing rods, and even modern-day laptops to prove they were the best in their practice.

According to Variety, other local adaptations for Battle of Fates are also in the works. House of Fates is the first show to be developed after the initial show’s success.  House of Fates will also be written and produced by the same woman who produced Battle of Fates, Mo Eun Seol (Culinary Class Wars, Happy Sunday).

Battle of Fates are available to stream on Disney+, along with other Korean titles such as I Am the Boxer and The Zone: Survival Mission. Disney+ has not yet revealed a release date for House of Fates, but it will very likely be available for streaming on Disney+ as well.
