The longest-running non-scripted original series from Spike TV has been renewed for a fifth season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spike TV announced that it has renewed Auction Hunters for a 20-episode fifth season. The series produced by Gurney Productions (Duck Dynasty) is ranked as the male-skewing longest running nonscripted original series of the network.
Spike TV also noted that the series has helped the network to expand its reach with a total of 1.5 million total viewers for the finale of the fourth season. The fifth season of the reality series will go into production this summer and it will focus on stars Allen Haff and Tom Jones who will now expand their horizons and travel the country in order to find deals from cattle auctions to police auctions. Their goal will be the same: to uncover hidden fortunes.
Sharon Levy, exec. vp of the original series said in a statement, “We are thrilled to bring back another season of Auction Hunters which after four years, continues to resonate with our growing gender-balanced audience.”
