Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemakers are the creators of TheAwesomes.com as well as the animated series it is home to. It is scheduled to debut on August 1 on Hulu–its first episode of ten.
The Awesomes are a team of superheros, tightly-knit and family-like. The premise of the show is how the super heroes adapt and live after the most super heroes leave the team, leaving just characters that do not really know what is going on.The remaining not-as-super heroes are lead by Professor Doctor Awesome, who is trying to be as great of a leader as his father was for the previous team.
Shoemaker and Meyers metricated the idea behind The Awesomes in 2006 by wanting to have a hero show made for adults. The idea extrapolated until the two were able to find a launch pad for the 10 episode show on Hulu.
The Impresario, has the ability to conjurie anything he imagines with use of the jewel in his head. Sadly, the character suffers from mother issues so he only conjures up deviations of his mother. Sumo is a little boy Timmy who has the ability to turn into a sumo wrestler when he gets mad. Concierge , as you would guess is the teams assistant, and her power is super human resourcefulness. Gadget Gal, is an old lady hero from back in the day that was hit with a rejuvenation ray and now looks like shes in her 20’s.
