Production of Episodes, a Matt LeBlanc comedy, will begin in 2016.
The fifth season will consist of nine episodes on Showtime.

And now that viewers have even more ways to access Showtime programming, I’m excited for a whole new audience to watch this smart, funny comedy gem.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, this show is co-produced by Showtime and BB. Episodes has been a very successful comedy for the past four seasons, which is why it is returning for another one.
In the dark comedy, Matt LeBlanc (Friends) plays himself in a fictional portrayal. He has earned three Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe as a result of his performance in this series. Creators of the show, David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik, also found personal success from this production. They earned the series two WGA nominations.
Episodes will begin its production in 2016, and season five will include nine episodes.
