Billions has been renewed for Season 4, Showtime revealed on Thursday. The move comes after the show’s Season 3 premiere on March 25, which brought Billions its highest ratings ever at an increase of 30% in the key demographic and 23% in total viewers, compared to the premiere of Season 2 in February 2017, according to Variety.
“Billions continues to build its audience as it explores the heights of power and wealth even as it plumbs the depths of the human psyche,” Gary Levine, president of programming for Showtime, said, as per Variety. “[Show creators and executive producers Brian Koppelman and David Levien] are gifted, propulsive storytellers, and we can’t wait to see where they and their extraordinary cast will take us in Season 4.”
In the meantime, Billions is moving to a new time slot. Starting on May 6, the show will move from 10 p.m. on Sundays nights to 9 p.m. The show will air ahead of Season 2 of I’m Dying Up Here, Variety noted.
No details were given about Season 4 of Billions; however the show’s official Instagram page teased in a post yesterday, “Power shifts. Alliances change.”
Billions stars Paul Giamatti (Sideways) as Chuck Rhoades and Damian Lewis (Showtime’s Homeland) as Bobby Axelrod.
