According to Deadline, season two of Paramount’s Yellowstone will air on CBS starting on Sunday, October 29. The season finale of Yellowstone‘s first season will air on CBS this Sunday. The series has been the headline of CBS’ fall lineup.
Deadline reported that Yellowstone has had almost 21.6 million viewers watch at least one episode on CBS since it started airing on the network on September 17 and, according to CBS, 52% are new viewers who had not seen an episode of the series.
According to Nielsen, it has averaged 5.49 million viewers every episode and has been the top primetime entertainment series each Sunday that it has ran on CBS.
Yellowstone tells the story of the Dutton family. The Duttons control the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, which is often conflicting with the Indian reservation, America’s first national park, and the expanding town it borders.
The series was co-created by John Linson (The Outsider, Sons of Anarchy) and Taylor Sheridan (1883, Tulsa King), who executive produce with Art Linson (Fight Club, Heat), Kevin Costner (Man of Steel, Hidden Figures), Stephen Kay (General Hospital, Murder, She Wrote), David C. Glasser (Agent Cody Banks, Paddington 2) and Bob Yari (Laws of Attraction, Haven). It is produced by MTV Entertainment and 101 Studios.
Costner stars as John Dutton along with Sheridan as Travis, Kelly Reilly (Pride & Prejudice, Above Suspicion) as Beth Dutton, Cole Hauser (2 Fast 2 Furious, Dazed and Confused) as Rip Wheeler, Luke Grimes (True Blood, Brothers and Sisters) as Kayce Dutton, Kelsey Asbille (One Tree Hill, Teen Wolf) as Monica, and Wes Bentley (American Beauty, Interstellar) as Jamie Dutton,
The cast also includes Jefferson White (Eileen, Chicago P.D.) as Jimmy Hurdstrom, Josh Lucas (Ford v Ferrari, Hulk) as John Dutton, Josh Holloway (Lost, Colony) as Roarke Carter, and Brecken Merrill (This Is Us, Yellowstone) as Tate Dutton.
