The highly popular animated series, DanDaDan, has just received confirmation on second season with release from Shonen Jump. According to Comicbook, the anime follows the journey of Mono, voiced by Abby Trott (Drifting Home) and Okarun, voiced by AJ Beckles (Tower of God), as they deal with supernatural and extraterrestrial forces. Along their journey they have met characters who accompany them such as Momo’s grandmother, Seiko voiced by Kari Wahlgren (Men ’97), Aira voiced by Lisa Reimold (Delicious in Dungeon) and Jiji voiced by Aleks Le (Demon Slayer).
The anime has captivated viewers with its wonderful blend of sci-fi, thriller and comedy, which will surely increase within the next season, following the same format. The group is sure to encounter new entities, solving paranormal cases and completing the quest of finding Okarun’s missing part. According to Comicbook, the latest edition of Shonen Jump states that the second season is scheduled for July 2025.
According to Comicbook, the poster of the second season depicts Ken and Momo preparing to face off against an unknown, mysterious and otherworldly threat, while Shinji is in the back surrounded by dark forces. The second season will pick up where the first one ended, with Momo and Okarun helping Jiji investigate his haunted house situation, but coming up empty-handed. It was then Momo split and headed to the nearby hot springs. It was then both sides made new discoveries, with Jiji’s house having an extra space filled with numerous spell tags and Momo attacked by unknown entities.
With the confirmation of a second season, fans can expect more of the hilarious antics, intense battles and heartwarming moments that made the first season so special. While waiting on further information surrounding exact release of the second season, the entire first one of DanDaDan is available to stream on Netflix.
