With the debut of season three, Only Murders in the Building has made its presence known on the Nielsen Streaming Charts, according to Deadline. The season debut garnered a whopping 719 million minutes of viewing time. Deadline says that Nielsen stated, “the audience for Only Murders was a ‘carbon copy’ of the series that’s been dominating streaming for the past eight weeks – Suits.”
Suits‘ viewership has been nothing short of spectacular, it racked up another three billion viewing minutes between Peacock and Netflix, this makes Suits the only series to surpass the three billion threshold over the course of seven consecutive weeks. It debuted on Netflix only eight weeks ago and has collected over 26 billion viewing minutes across the aforementioned streaming services. It’s important that it be noted that Suits was on Peacock for a standard amount of time before it hit Netflix and didn’t collect nearly as many views as it has in recent weeks.
Other than Suits, only two other series accumulated over a billion viewing minutes, Bluey and The Lincoln Lawyer. These two titles have been set in stone on the Nielsen Streaming Charts so it comes as no surprise that they continue to reside there.
The roll that Netflix is on doesn’t stop at Suits and The Lincoln Lawyer, Heart of Stone and Painkiller have also been making a substantial amount of waves on the mega streamer. Both series drew in just under 100 million viewing minutes a piece.
Prime Video is also still in the running of the Nielsen Streaming Charts with The Summer I Turned Pretty. The series’ penultimate episode helped the show jump up to the number five spot with around 457 million minutes of viewership, this is a 15% increase to the previous week. The Summer I Turned Pretty has had a great amount of success, especially in its sophomore season. The Summer I Turned Pretty is currently Prime Video’s second most viewer series among women aged between 18 and 34. Rings of Power currently holds the number one spot for the category.
