According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has decided to keep betting on the freshman show and just ordered four additional scripts.
The new comedy, starring Sean Hayes, Megan Hilty and Linda Lavin, got an extra script order from NBC.
Sean Saves The World focus on a openly gay single father and his daughter and hasn’t been getting too much hype from fans, but the network decided it was worth saving.
Its former lead-in comedy, Welcome to The Family, was promptly cancelled after a few episodes and since then Sean Saves The World seems to be getting more viewers every week.
That number is expected to rise even more in 2014, when Parks & Recreation will become the comedy’s new lead-in.
Even though script orders don’t always necessarily mean new episodes, the future’s looking brighter for the new comedy.
