‘Say Anything’ Series Not Going Forward After Cameron Crowe Objects

The television series based off of the 1989 movie of the same name after the movie’s Cameron Crowe objected against the television adaptation, Deadline explains.

Less than 24 hours after NBC closed a deal for the television series, 20th Century Fox TV shelved the project following objections from Crowe and the original’s film star John Cusack. Both men expressed their disproval via Twitter.

After the TV project writer Justin Adler and producer Aaron Kaplan were informed of Crowe’s objection, they both pulled out of the series. 20th Century Fox TV plugged the project entirely shortly after.
