‘Sausage Party’ Sequel Series ‘Sausage Party: Foodtopia’ Has Scene That Amazon PR Team Had to Screen Prior to Release

According to Comicbook, Seth Rogen’s (This Is the End) Sausage Party: Footopia has scene in the series so controversial that Amazon had PR people privately screen it. Rogen spoke with Empire about the animated series that they are developing and warned fans that they better be ready for anything when the series premiers. The original film Sausage Party which the series will be based on, was in itself a crazy time for many viewers. Knowing this and also having a PR team to look at the new series just shows how over the top the series will be.

When asked about the series in detail, Rogen said, ‘’There’s one specific scene that had a special screening for the Amazon PR people. You should all just start wrapping your heads around this now. You’ll probably have to talk about this a lot.’’

Rogen continued, “We had Kristen Wiig in picking up a few lines the other day, and I think we’ve all become desentised to it, because we’ll just be like, ‘Roll the scene!’, and then she was like, ‘Oh my God?! This is insane!’’’

The Sausage Party film itself follows the comedic story of food items that occupy the shelves at a supermarket. All the items in the supermarket were waiting to go home with a happy customer believing that it is a type of heaven until the truth is found out. Soon the main character finds out the horrifying truth that everyone near him eventually becomes a meal. This leads to Frank escaping from his package to seek a better safe place.

The new mini-series will include Rogen, Edward Norton (Fight Club), Michael Cera (Barbie), Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), Sam Richardson (Veep), David Krumholtz (The Deuce), Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth), Fred Melamed (Barry), Natasha Rothwell (American Dad!), Yassir Lester (Duncanville), and many more.
