Samantha Bee Takes Her Late Night Show to YouTube

Amid the coronavirus outbreak, numerous talk shows and late-night variety series have suspended production. Yet, this has not stopped late-night talk show hosts from working from home. Samantha Bee has transitioned her TBS Full Frontal late-night talk show to Beeing At Home with Samantha Bee on her series’ channel. Debuting March 18, the host has released two three-minute episodes aimed to tackle quarantine questions, such as how to not kill your husband or wife when confined. With a lack of live television series, Bee joins her fellow late-night hosts such as Colbert, Kimmel, and Fallon who have been releasing short episodes on YouTube as well.

Bee has hosted TBS’ Full Frontal since 2016. Her career started off with a stint at The Daily Show as a correspondent, similar to Stephen Colbert. In the first episode of Beeing At Home, Bee demonstrates ideal survival skills and tactics like chopping wood while staying at home for her audience. Check it out below:

Bee released the second episode of her talk show the following day, giving tips on “how to survive and thrive.” She overviews the CDC guidelines while also prompting the ignored, yet important, question, “are you washing your hams?” The second episode can be found here:

Currently, there is no word from networks when late-night shows will be up and running with new episodes again. Yet, Bee and other late-night hosts creating mini-episodes online have been able to satisfy some fans and bring laughs during these crazy and peculiar times.
