Deadline reports that Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus, The Last Kiss) has joined season two of Call My Agent on Sky Italia. The series is a Sky Original and comes from Palomar and Sky Studios. Impacciatore is one of numerous breakout actors from The White Lotus on HBO.
The series follows a group of agents as they try to keep their demanding clients under control and in work. Season 1 of Call My Agent – Italia debuted on the Sky pay-TV platform January 20, 2023 and stars Paolo Sorrentino (The Hand of God, The Great Beauty).
The cast of Call My Agent – Italia also includes Valeria Bruni Tedeschi (The Summer House, A Castle in Italy), Sara Lazzaro (The Young Pope, The Red Band Society), Livia Rossi (The Girl Flew, Branding Love), Francesco Russo (A Classic Horror Story, My Brilliant Friend), and Claud Santamaria (Casino Royale, The Last Kiss).
The original Call My Agent comes from France’s Mediawan. It was known as Dix Pour Cent and streamed on Netflix.
The series was first announced as a part of the 28-title slate to celebrate Sky Italia’s 20th anniversary. Included in the slate were Piedone from Salvatore Esposito (Fargo, They Call Me Jeeg), M. Il Figlio Del Secolo, which is based on the adaptation of the book by Antonio Scurati (Il Padre Infedele, M: Son of the Century) about the birth of fascism in Italy, and a true crime drama La Mala based on a documentary series of the same name.
According to Deadline, Sky Deutschland, Sky Italia’s German counterpart, is rumored to be sold and is stopping original productions.
