Ryan Phillippe Joins ‘9-1-1 Nashville’ Season Two

ABC’s 9-1-1 Nashville is making a lot of heat with its first season. With the series first season coming to a wrap, ABC has made a major move by adding Ryan Phillippe (One Mile, The Patient) as series regular for season two.

For those who don’t know, 9-1-1 Nashville is a series about the personal and professional lives of Tennessee first responders who are thrown into the most shocking and heart stopping situations on a daily basis. The series is also an extension from the main series 9-1-1where the story and characters take place in California. We have no information on who Phillippe will be playing in this series, however according to TVLine, Phillippe’s character is described as a “brilliant, iconoclastic detective” from New York City who relocates to Nashville. Phillippe’s character is leading an investigation into a mysterious criminal tormenting Nashville on a biblical scale.

The cast consists of Chris O’Donnell (I’ve Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario, NCIS: Los Angeles), Jessica Capshaw (Influenced, Grey’s Anatomy), Kimnerly Williams-Paisley (Jesus Revolution, Dog Gone), LeAnn Rimes (Country Comfort, It’s Christmas, Eve), Michael Provost (Butterfly on a Wheel, The Sex Lives of College Girls), Juani Feliz (The Terror, Birthrite), Hailey Kilgore (Power Book III: Raising Kanan), Hunter McVey (9-1-1, Farm Life), MacKenzie Porter (Murder in a Small Town, The Runarounds), Chandra Walton (Stuck, Stand Up and Laugh with Anna Manis), Matthew Um (For All Mankind, Now What?), Gregory Alan Williams (Chicago Med, Terry McMillan Presents: Preach, Pay, Love), Randa Newman (Sketch, The Easy Kind), Reegus Flenory (Beauty in Black, Scarpetta), Coby Bell (Poppa’s House, Walker), Tim Matheson (Virgin River, Still Here Hollywood Podcast), Anna Wood (Watson, Law & Order), and Anna Lore (Give It Up, Black Phone 2).

The series is currently on hiatus and will return on April 30, 2026. In meantime, you can stream the series on Disney+ and Hulu in order to get caught up for the series’ return.
