Netflix Reveals The Official Trailer For The Second Season Of Animated Series ‘Devil May Cry’

Netflix revealed the official trailer for the second season of the animated series Devil May Cry. On Tuesday, the streamer posted the trailer for the second season on their YouTube channel, which will continue the story of the son of Sparta from where it left off in the first season. The series is created by Adi Shankar (The Grey, Dred) and will be available on Netflix on May 12.

Below is the official trailer for the second season of Devil May Cry.

Netflix’s Devil May Cry is based on the long-running video game franchise with the same name that started its history on the PlayStation 2 in 2001. The series centers around the protagonist Dante, who was born to Sparda, a legendary demon, and their human mom Eva. Dante sets out on a journey to avenge his murdered mother, killing every demon he sees.  Through his journey, he finds and is challenged by his twin brother Virgil, whom Dante had believed to be dead.

Netflix describes the series as follows: “In this animated adaptation of the popular Capcom game and from the vision of Adi Shankar, sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.”

According to IMDb, the cast of the series includes Johnny Yong Bosch (Mongil: Star Dive, Solo Leveling) as Dante, Scout Taylor-Compton (Dead Giveaway, Into the Deep) as Mary, Hoon Lee (The Monkey King, Your Friends & Neighbors) as the White Rabbit, Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Killing Joke, Justice League: Doom) as Baines, Chris Coppola (The Polar Express, Game of Death: The Six Doors to Hell) as Enzo, Benjamin Abiola (Tales of Horrors, Boy of Straw) as Anders, Robbie Daymond (Critical Role, Wylde Pak) as Vergil and many others.

Shankar is known for working on series such as Castlevania, Castlevania: Nocturne and Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix.

The eight-episode first season of Devil May Cry is available to stream on Netflix.
